Profile of Mr. William Lam
Mr. Lam is the proprietor of the firm.
He is a solicitor of the Hong Kong SAR and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Moreover, he is a Civil Celebrant of Marriages in Hong Kong.
Mr. Lam graduated from The University of Manchester, England in 1981 with an honours degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. His major subjects included Computer Design, Power Transmission and Telecommunications. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. (M.I.E.E.E.)
After obtaining his degree at the University of Manchester, he studied law at Manchester Polytechnic (now known as Manchester Metropolitan University, England) and at the College of Law (Chester, England)
Mr. Lam came back to Hong Kong in 1984 and became actively involved in his family business, a textile company and a finance company.
In 1991/1992, Mr. Lam furthered his studies in law at the University of Hong Kong and obtained the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws.
After two years of articles at Messrs. Peter Cheung & Co, Mr. Lam was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong in 1994.
Mr. Lam was then invited to join Messrs. David Y Y Fung & Co as an assistant solicitor and promoted to a partner in 1996.
During that period, Mr. Lam personally handled a commercial crime case involving cloning mobile phones in District Court.
In 1997, Mr. Lam has teamed up with a group of high-tech experts, including a US based company "Wytec Incorporated" to bid for providing "Wireless ATM" nationwide to Brunei.
In 1999, Mr. Lam decided to start his own practice.
Mr. Lam is also an active Radio Amateur and currently holds a Hong Kong Class A Radio Amateur Operator licence, a UK Class A Radio Amateur licence and a USA Advanced Class Radio Amateur licence.

In addition, Mr. Lam is the legal advisor of IC Distribution Ltd., one of the major software distributors in Hong Kong.

In 2009-2015 Mr. Lam was appointed as a Co-opt member of the Chinese Temples Committee (華人廟宇委員會) (www.ctc.org.hk) by the Hong Kong Government.
In 2011 , Mr. Lam was elected as the Council Member (會董) of Hong Kong Guangdong Community Organizations (香港廣東社團) and now has been promoted as Executive Committee Member (常務會董).
In 2011 - 2018, Mr. Lam was the President of the University of Manchester Alumni Association (Hong Kong) (英國曼徹斯特大學校友會(香港))(www.umaa.hk) and now the Founding President.
In 2012, Mr. Lam is appointed the Honorary Legal Advisor to the Public Surgeons United (公共外科醫生聯盟) which was formed by a large group of surgeons.

Mr. Lam has been invited by the Hong Kong Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry and gave a talk on "Patent Enforcement"
Mr. Lam has been invited by Chamber of the Hong Kong Computer Industrial and gave a talk on "Intellectual Property".
Mr. Lam now represents a number of well known international computer software / hardware companies, games, films and copyright owners in enforcing their ownership in Hong Kong. Moreover, Mr. Lam is also representing a number of international patent owners in enforcing their rights.
